Why choose a wire mesh guard?
In the case of a PIR, its role is to detect movement and then to respond to it whether that be to switch on a light or to alert that an intruder is in the vicinity. A criminal may look to disable such a device by means of brute force. A wire mesh guard around your PIR provides a strong barrier against such attempts to disable it.
